So you have questions…That’s great, we’ve got answers.
Why should I use MagSquad?
If you want to be a better shot, you should use MagSquad.
If you want to challenge your friends to be better shots, you should use MagSquad.
If you’re already taking down your stats with a notepad and a pen, you should use MagSquad.
If you don’t care about any of those things…MagSquad’s probably not right for you.
What do you do with my data?
Is my info secure?
The only people who can see your stats are the ones in your squad. And that’s only if you choose to publish it.
Can my boss see what I do on MagSquad?
Only if he’s in your squad (i.e. you invited him to be your MagSquad “friend”). And friends of friends can see limited information about you. Your boss won’t find your MagSquad activity with a Google search.
What if I don’t want to share my range session?
We get it…not all our trips to the range are stellar either.
You can keep stats private for your own edification if you’d like.
How do find friends on MagSquad?
You can invite your friends to use MagSquad via text or email. If they already have the app, you can search for them by name, email address, or phone number.
Can I sign in with Facebook?
Yes, yes you can.
We don’t share any data with Facebook, but if you want to bypass one more password, you can log in with Facebook.
How much does MagSquad cost?
MagSquad is free for all.
Is it on Android?
Not yet, but we’re working on it.
Am I allowed to use MagSquad at my shooting range?
Well, you should probably ask your Range Master to be sure, but we don’t see why not.
Here’s a free tip: don’t use your firearm and MagSquad at the same time. Put the phone down while you’re gunning, and put the gun down while you’re phoning.
Can’t I just use Facebook for this?
If you don’t mind everyone and their dog keeping up with what guns you own, what your stats are, and how many times you go to the range every month. But, if you would rather only share your range habits with your shooting buddies, MagSquad is the way to do that.
Does MagSquad cater to specific firearms?
MagSquad works very well for pistols and rifles, primarily. Oddly enough, archery is a really good fit as well (even though it’s missing the Mag in MagSquad).
What types of “shooting activities” can I track?
Basically if you can take a picture of your target when you’re done shooting, MagSquad is perfect for you.
And let’s be honest; even if you can’t…you’re smart. You can make it work.
How old do I have to be to use MagSquad?
You need to be at least 18 years old to use MagSquad.
What does “beta” mean?
The beta phase of our app means that you’re getting in at the ground level. We’re still working out some small kinks, and you’re in on the initial testing phase. Congratulations, you’re an early adopter.
